This research article presents service providers’ perspectives regarding barriers to leaving relationships and accessing services after experiencing intimate partner violence for rural victims and survivors in Saskatchewan. This article was led by Dr. Melissa Wuerch and co-authored by PATHS’ Director of Research, Dr. Crystal Giesbrecht. This study analyzed data from two Canadian research projects: the Canadian Domestic Homicide Prevention Initiative with Vulnerable Populations and the Rural and Northern Community Response to Intimate Partner Violence.
