PATHS, in partnership with the Saskatchewan SPCA, is conducting four surveys for people in Saskatchewan. Please click on the survey link that fits you:
- People who have owned pets, livestock, or service animals and have experienced violence or abuse from an intimate partner (physical, psychological, emotional, verbal, financial, sexual, and spiritual abuse; excessive jealousy and control; and harassment after separation).
- Domestic violence service providers (shelters, counselling/outreach centres, victim services, police, first responders, lawyers, and mediators)
- Animal service providers (SPCAs, humane societies, veterinary clinics, animal rescues, and animal fostering)
- Member of the public
The surveys are anonymous and your responses will not be used to identify you. At the end of the survey, respondents will have the opportunity to enter for a chance to win a $200 prepaid credit card (not connected to your survey response). The surveys will close on March 31st, 2020. The surveys have been approved by the University of Regina Research Ethics Board (REB #2019-117).
We are also conducting confidential telephone interviews with people who have experienced violence/abuse and owned animals. If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact:
