Intimate Partner Violence and Animal Ownership: Experiences of Survivors and Service Providers

In this webinar, hosted by Saskatchewan SPCA, Crystal Giesbrecht from PATHS, will share results of research conducted in Saskatchewan with victims/survivors of intimate partner violence who own pets and farm animals, animal welfare professionals, and human service professionals. Examples of the intersections of intimate partner violence, animal maltreatment, and the need for animal safekeeping, as well as recommendations from survivors and service providers, will be shared.
