Pet-Friendly Shelter Viability Report

In 2021, PATHS collaborated with the Saskatchewan SPCA, STOPS to Violence, and Praxis Consulting to produce the Pet-Friendly Shelter Viability Report.

This report offers a detailed roadmap for domestic violence shelters interested in becoming pet-friendly. The report offers advice on how to safely house pets along with survivors. Topics include dealing with pet allergies, calculating start-up and ongoing costs, addressing potential legal concerns, and ensuring animal health care needs.
